Alexey Lyashko is an experienced software reverse engineer with close to 26 years of practical experience in the field. Along the course of his reverse engineering career, Alexey has worked on numerous projects, starting with the analysis of malicious software and development of countermeasures and up to the in-depth analysis of DRM circumvention techniques. This work led to the “Method for detecting computer viruses” patent application (USPTO Publication Number: 20080016573). Which, unfortunately, was abandoned by Alexey's employer at the time.
Alexey has developed a strong passion for low level programming along the 19 years of his career as a software developer. Especially for the x86 Assembly language. He even has written a book on it and is working on another one. The language of Assembler, however, is not the only programming language Alexey works with. According to the LinkedIn skill assessment, Alexey’s proficiency in C programming language enters the top 5% of 1.7M people who passed that assessment, and the top 15% of 1M people when it comes to C#. When it comes to scripting languages, he is in the top 15% of 2.3M people who passed the JavaScript proficiency assessment.
Alexey has been developing software for both Windows and Linux operating systems, while focusing, among other things, on the portability of the resulting product. A few projects were also related to the world of the mobile operating systems (e.g., Android and IOS). It is, however, most unfortunate, that the most interesting projects Alexey participated in, cannot be listed here due to the NDA terms.
